Bird Flu is a well informed discussion of the current status and
preparations in regards to Bird or Avian Flu in Asia and the United States.
Marc Siegel provides reassurance for travelers and for those staying at
home. The book provides insight into epidemics past and present, putting
our preparations into perspective. He addresses risks, transfer, precautions,
and history of the Bird Flu. His basic premise is that it is best not
to be overly worried at this time. This is a good overview of what we
currently know about the Bird Flu, of special interest to prospective
adoptive parents traveling to Asia.
