Review by Allison Martin Paul and Sebastian is the story of two obedient little boys who live next door, but whose mothers' do not wish them to play together because they live in different circumstances. The boys become lost during a school outing, and that night, cold and frightened they become friends. When they are found at last, their mothers' mistake the little boys for each other, bringing the wrong ones home. The next morning, upon realizing their mistake the two families become friends. Paul and Sebastian is a cute and unusual book with a message about prejudging people based on appearances. The parts where the boys get lost on a school trip was a little scary for my five year old. |
