To My Daughter's Birth Fatherby "Her Adoptive Parents"You have never met us, but we think of you often. Each time we gaze into our daughter's beautiful cerulean eyes, we think of you because we know that you have the same sparkling eyes. We often wonder if you ever think about her. We're the adoptive parents of this beautiful child that you created a few years ago. We're leaving this letter with the adoption agency just in case you ever inquire about your birth daughter. We want you to know that she is loved and cared for. She's happy and full of life. She's the answer to countless prayers and a blessing to so many lives. She's an active, inquisitive preschooler, bubbling over with love and energy. She likes dressing up and going to Sunday School; and she loves playing outdoors, picking flowers, checking the maple trees for buds and new leaves, and watching the bunnies and other wildlife frolic in our yard. She likes all animals, especially tumbling with her dogs; and she likes feeding apples to the horses and "talking" to the cows when visiting a friend's farm. She enjoys singing and dancing and can hardly wait to attend the local dance academy. She's a bright little girl who'd much rather read a book than play with her toys. We could go on and on, but we think you get the idea of how precious she is. We want to thank you for making it possible for her to become our daughter when she was a few days old. She is truly the light of our lives. May God bless you. Real Moms is a newsletter by and for adoptive mothers. Support, information, encouragement, and networking for domestic adoption are offered to adoptive and prospective adoptive mothers. |
